“Helping Keep Kids off Drugs!”
Board, Staff and friends of Chautauqua Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Council (CASAC) made some strikes and raised needed funds at the 2012 Bowl-a-thon held June 7th at the Fountain Bowl. Greg Edwards, County Executive, added his support of our prevention efforts by endorsing the event. Funds from the “2012 Helping Keep Kids off Drugs Bowl-a-thon” will be used to support CASAC programs and intervention services addressing youth and their families living in our community.
Adding additional support to the efforts was our very own Board President, Arnold Zdrojewski, who initiated a President’s Challenge in recognition of CASAC’S 38th year. Any bowler with a strike in the 3rd or 8th frame would have an additional $20 dollars added to their pledge totals. One of the youngest bowlers was Ashton Witkowski, age 8. who made one of the challenge strikes. Bowler Bill Snell had the highest score (139) and won an 18 inch chocolate bowling pin donated by the Huberts.
In addition to all the CASAC friends who made pledges, we would also like to acknowledge the support of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Northwest Savings Bank, Support Enterprises, G & P Gynecare, Eagle Systems Inc., Falconer Printing and Design, Quick Solutions, Geer-Dunn Company, Inc., Dan’s Moving & Storage, Inc., Jon & Debbie Rossrucker, Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Rodney Early, the Rhoe B. Henderson Insurance Agency and the staff of the Fountain Bowl for making the event possible. With the help of all our CASAC friends, we raised over $5000.
