Awareness Theatre Programs
Listed below are the various types of presentations Awareness Theatre offers. We can work with you to custom build a presentation on the topic you wish, that will best suit your needs.
Classroom Scenes
These are scenes acted out before a class or group and which show how situations play out in real life. Using an “Interview” session following the scene, the audience is able to interact with the characters and discover the reasons behind the action. More information.
Assemblies
Assemblies are most often done for schools but may also be used for large group or public presentations. While there is usually no specific discussion time in an assembly, arrangements can be made for special “after assembly” discussion groups or classroom visits. More information.
Roleplays
By using our volunteers to portray various characters and personalities, we can help coach your people how to interact with various populations, providing trainees with realistic opportunities to sharpen skills.
Storytelling Series
AT has prepared a wide variety of interactive stories aimed at increasing young children’s awareness of the world around them, and the skills needed to interact with that world.
Plays
Drawing on their own experience, AT has written several original plays, each spotlighting major issues for youth. For a listing of available plays, see “More details” below.
Positive Alternatives
For after school, summer programs or for youth lock-ins, AT has a number of games, activities, and interactions, to help people explore and appreciate “Drug Free” fun.
Speakers Bureau
Our Speakers Bureau arranges for area young people to come and speak with your group, answering the questions you may have and giving insight to what they think and why.
